easier to call

Hey, I'm not normally a lazy man, and I don't attribute my lack of "posting" to laziness necessarily, but I do know this: It's almost friggin Christmas, and I haven't been saying a whole lot.

Jamie and I went to Winnipeg in Oct to visit the fam and the crew. My only disappointment over the whole excursion was that I didn't get to see more of my friends. I did however get to see Joey & Krista's baby girl, Jadzia, and that was really special. She's beautiful and funny, just like her family. They grow up fast (our niece and nephew have anyway), so seeing them when they're just babies is a pretty special thing. Lucky us!

My mom's in better spirits too, which is really nice to see. Her health has always been an issue, but her quirkiness can sometimes be one too. I guess when we see things that remind us of ourselves, it makes us uncomfortable. :) Best quote by my mom was when she was being talked to about christianity and the virtues of faith:
Them: "But how do you explain the universe, and everything in it, if you don't believe in god?"
Mom: "I don't have to."

Ohhhh, the comedy!

I have some Halloween photos to download to the PC, but I'm not sure where the camera is. You guys are gonna die when you see me in my costume. It's pretty...batrific? Bat-tastic? You'll see.
